A battery is the heart that supplies the current to the starter motor and ignition system when you start your vehicle. In modern vehicles especially it is more important than ever to select the right battery. We not only can supply you with the best suited battery but also fit this for you.

Batteries generally last between 3-5 years, however various factors including cold weather can reduce your battery’s lifespan. Here are a few signs you can look out for to detect issues with your battery:

Loose or faulty connections
The two terminals that stick up from your battery, one being negatively charged and one positively charged; cables are attached to each of these that run from your battery to your starter. Sometimes the screws or bolts that connect the terminals to the cables can become loose or faulty and the connection breaks, which will cause your vehicle not to start at all. If your vehicle's battery isn't connected properly, the vehicle as well as the battery can be damaged. Sparks can be caused by loose connections, which can be hazardous in engine bays.

Corroded battery
Vehicle battery terminals can develop a corrosion causing the battery connection to grow weaker. The less metal to metal contact, it becomes harder for power to transfer from the battery to the starter. If they are corroded the terminals may require a clean.

Problems with the alternator
The alternator powers up nearly all of the electrical systems of the vehicle once it is started and it recharges the battery too. If your alternator is failing then it will no longer be able to charge your battery, therefore your vehicle might run down on you whilst driving as it isn’t generating enough spark in order to run your vehicle.
